Description

The Strawberry Poison Dart Frog is a beautiful but poisonous frog with a bluish underpart and red upperbody (although other color variations also exist). These small frogs produce alkaloids that are used to deter predators (this poison is not lethal to people). These frogs grow to a size of about 2 centimeters.

Habitat

Strawberry Poison Dart Frogs are found at humid, forested areas. These exist at the Caribbean side of Nicaragua, in reserves like the Indio Maiz region.
