I am not sure how big it gets. I saw a 7 footer on Ometepe island in Nicaragua but i have no idea whether that is close to maximum size or not. However, I was surprised by it's speed and agility. I am confident I could not have outrun it.
I saw it on two different occasions, both times on the ground. That does not prove they are not tree climbers; just that I have seen it twice on the ground.
What does it eat? I don't know. I presume rodents but that is a presumption.
