Description

Green turtles are about 1 meter in length, and they weigh around 180 kg. They are the most common turtles at the Caribbean coast, but they are also hunted for their meat. About 11,000 Green Turtles are killed each year in Nicaragua. This species can be seen when diving or snorkeling around the Corn Islands.

Habitat

The turtles live all throughout the Nicaraguan Caribbean coast. They often breed in Costa Rica, up north, but they they live in front of the Nicaraguan coast.
