Description
This bay of fishermen and summer houses is located right next to San Juan del Sur, just 5 Km North of the town. Visitors will find a small estuary that ends at the sea and a rock where sea birds rest every now and then.
Also, there are some hills and areas filled with Sacuanjoches and other tropical trees. The beach is suitable for surfing.
Surf, turtle nesting, sports fishing and boat rides
There is a comfortable hotel to stay at, which also has a restaurant located on top of a rock. There are other small restaurants where visitors can eat.
Practical information: Have in mind that the road you will take is unpaved. So, getting there during the winter might be complicated. We recommend to travel on a high clearance vehicle, but the road is suitable for both types.
Getting There
Private transportation: First, you must get to San Juan del Sur. After reaching the town, take the road on the right that has a sign that indicates the name of the beach.
Public transportation: It is not possible to get there on public transportation. Instead, negotiate an affordable rate with the cabs that you will find at the municipal market.

Lovely beach, rocky instead of shelly. Not a bad thing because these beautiful rocks have been polished a gazillian times as the surf washes in and out. Some construction of luxury homes is going on, which is a good thing. But the surrounding hills muffle any noise except that of the waves. Quiet and natural.
