Description
The lagoon itself has a surface of almost 15 hectares and was formed about 10,000 years ago as a crater lake of a currently extinct volcano. Before the Spanish conquest there were several legends among the indigenous people inspired by the lagoon. Pre-Columbian remains have also been found around the lake.

Getting There
Tiscapa is ten minutes (in car) from the Metrocentro shopping mall, and only five minutes from the Plaza Inter shopping mall. The easiest way of getting there without your own vehicle is by taxi. The thousands of cheap taxis that cruise Managua will all know how to find Tiscapa.
If you are driving yourself go in the direction of the Plaza Inter shopping mall. Right behind it lays the (pyramid shaped) Crown Plaza hotel. The road that leads to the Tiscapa lagoon is next to the hotel.

Treminio. es un placer ubicarlo donde y cuanto cuesta la entrada al parque historico la loma de tiscapa, dode esta el Canopy tour tiscapa. la entrada en carro C$20. cordobas en automovil .y los precios para el canopy es de U$15 dolares para extranjeros y $ 11.50 para Nicaraguenses. para mayor informacion le doy mi correo , wintormoises@hotmail.com

My kids and I had the best time last November 2010. We did Monbacho and Tiscapa canopy tour. The only thing is that I paid $15.00 to have them email me my pictures and I never got them.
