Somehow I missed this church, I had a guide from the tourist department and I visited everyone. It is a same I missed out on this one. Exactly where is it located?

Subtiava new market should be an ideal place to relocate the merchants from around catedral and central park to this location. I would be an ideal location because of the arts and craft movements among the Indigenous artisans and the museum plus the rich history of this neighborhood. It will atract more turists looking for more local flavor of it's people than bars and discoteques. It will open a new venue of oportunities for the community as a whole. Thank you. Peter J. Zelaya

Description

The Subtiava church is located in the Subtiava neighborhood in León; a neighborhood still strongly tied to its indigenous roots. Construction of the church started in 1698, and was completed in 1710. Detoriation and militar violence damaged the church during the 1800s, but reconstruction took place at the beginning of the 20th century. Both a baroque and romantic style can be observed in the church. The interior is impressive with very large wooden beams and pillars.
