At the La Flor Wildlife Reserve a massive turtle arrival, also called arribada, is expected to take place at the end of December. The Cocibolca Foundation, in charge of running the reserve, expects the arrival to take place between December 20th and December 28th. This event will last several days, but it is impossible to predict the arrival with 100% accurracy.Furthermore, the foundation expects previously laid eggs to hatch between December 10th and December 15th. Both events are spectacular and definately worth a visit to this unique beach, located 22 km south of San Juan del Sur.
