Second National Tourism Fair

The second National Tourism Fair, FENATUR 2006, will take place at the Galerías Santo Domingo shopping mall in Managua from March 10th until March 12th. There will be many expositions of companies, organizations, and institutions that are related to tourism.The organizers of FENATUR expect over 100 expositions to be set up during the event, which will include information about Rio San Juan, Ometepe Island, San Juan del Sur, Corn Island, Jinotega, Matagalpa, Rivas, León, Chinandega, Managua, Ticuantepe, and other areas. The slogan of this year's fair is 'Let's get to know Nicaragua first', focused most of all at the local tourists.
In addition to the expositions, artisan presentations will also be held to not only show the different handicrafts from throughout Nicaragua, but also to demonstrate the visitors the production process of the objects.
There will also be cultural presentations from different Nicaraguan regions, and at the end of every day a musical show will be presented by a famous Nicaraguan artist or group: Luis Enrique Mejía Godoy, Norma Helena Gadea, and Carlos Mejía Godoy and his group 'los de Palacagüina'.
The Galerías Santo Domingo shopping center is located at kilometer 7 of the highway to Masaya. The FENATUR fair will be opened on Friday March 10th at 4PM. During the weekend, opening hours will be from 9AM until 9PM.
