Pan-American Festival 2010 in Managua

The dishes and beverages from eleven Latin American countries will be offered during the Pan-American Festival 2010, which is organized by the student community of INCAE Business School of Nicaragua. This annual activity will be held on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 at Francisco de Sola campus of this institution and will include sports, cultural and educational activities.

According to information given by Ingrid Reyes, member of the Student Life Department of INCAE, the festival aims to be a symbol of the Latin American culture and a gathering point of this community. Furthermore, all funds collected with the activity - which entrances costs C$80 on pre-sale and C$100 the day of the event - will be donated to the Pan y Amor Association.

The program of the Pan-American 2010 contemplates, on Saturday 24, visits from different schools from the city of Managua. There will be three cultural performances by Universidad Centroamericana (UCA) and the American University (UAM) related to folklore, theater and modern dances. At night, the Nicaraguan bands Milly Majuc, Malos Hábitos and La Cuneta Son Machín will perform for attendees.

Sunday, April 25 will be merely a family day. It will start with a folkloric dance contest and entertainment activities for kids, such as a climbing wall, a clown show, and others. The last activity of the day will be a concert by the group Los Hijos del Son, who will perform with a Latin American music repertoire. For further information go to our Events Calendar.
