National Surf Circuit 2011

Cinthia Membreño | Jun 10, 2011

A new edition of the Surf National Circuit will be held tomorrow, Saturday 11, and on Sunday 12 at Playa Hermosa (San Juan del Sur). This contest, for which organizers are expecting between 70 and 80 participants, will begin at 8:00 am and finish by 4:00 pm on both days. The entrance fee will be C$65 and its attendees will get to enjoy several beach activities, in addition to some amenities to observe the competition.

Javier Baldovinos, president of the circuit, said that the categories (Open, Junior, Longboard and Female) will remain in this year's competition. "Registration fee will be C$50, but we will register those who pay C$100 for the two upcoming events," he said. This measure will be taken to avoid the time it would take to register previous competitors again.

As for the awards, Baldovinos explained that a surfboard will be raffled between all the participants. Moreover, the winner for the first category that we mentioned above will get a bag to protect its board. Junior's winner will get a surfboard and the rest will win products given by sponsors.

According to the president of the circuit, all attendees must pay C$65 in order to enter the beach, which already has a private access. This will give them the right to use the bathrooms, showers, hammocks and other facilities that will be placed on the coast. "We will have music and the presence of models on both days," he assured. All interested surfers can still make the registration process tomorrow at Playa Hermosa. For further info call (505) 8887 6255.
