A hundred houses were totally destroyed and another 173 houses were partially damaged, especially their roofs, in the Caribbean communities where hurricane Beta hit forcefully.

Four people that were thought to have disappeared were later located inland where they sought refugee. The Civil Defense reported that there are five thousand refugees, less than ten thousand injured, and that the country is completely out of danger.
