We booked the first two nights at Mozonte based on their beautiful web site. I was very excited to stay there and was happy they offered to pick us up at the airport.
To our great disappointment, there was no pick up waiting for us, we took a taxi.
At the front desk we received a luke warm reception, questioning our reservation (which I arranged for by e-mail in advance). After trying to converse with them in broken spanish we were finally given a room. Later we discovered that the front desk does speak very good english...
The room we were given was a small, dark and windowless, very noisy - one could hear everything going on in the hall way...the great bath room was the only redeeming factor, as was the breakfast.
Overall, a great disappointment.

We really enjoyed our stay at Mozonte.
The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. It was also nice to cool off in the pool at the end of the day.
The thing that really sets Mozonte apart, however, was the staff. The frontdesk was willing to help us with whatever we needed at whatever time of day.
I would definitely recommend it to other travelers. Thanks again!

I stayed for a week long visit when I was in Managua at the end of November 2008.
Staying at Mozonte was an enjoyable experience, with friendly and very helpful staff, who provided top notch service. Very clean, quiet rooms with comfortable beds.
The meals, while having only a few choices, were very tasty and with generous portions.
It was relaxing to sit out under the veranda gazing at the pool watching the hummingbirds.
I must credit the success of my visit to Nicaragua, in part, to the extraordinary effort by the "front desk" staff , who provided assistance above and beyond what would be normally expected.
I shall be forever grateful to all, for their fine effort.
If the opportunity should arise that I need to be in Managua again, I would not hesitate to stay at Hotel Mozonte !!
I can whole heartedly recommend this Hotel to one and all.
