Description
Perched atop a country hill, Las Manañitas offers for location two cozy cabins (loft style) nestled among trees. Set alongside a dead-end country road that opens up on two magnificent beaches, Maderas and Majagual, the site offers unequaled tranquility.
The cottages are equipped with a functional kitchenette for those who enjoy cooking. In San Juan, visitors will find a typical market, butcher’s shop, fish shop, some small convenience stores and a supermarket. If one prefers to be pampered, the owners can provide meals for an additional cost or, for those who wish to venture out, San Juan also offers a wide range of restaurants.

Las Mananitas is absolutely fantastic. Elisabeth and Alan are wonderful hosts and have created a beautiful set of cabins for guests to stay in. The cabins are just far enough from town to feel like you are away from the crowds and dirty hostels, yet are located very close to several of San Juan's best (and not crowded beaches), Maderas and Majagual. They have a nice little pool to swim in on the property. The cabins are clean, are well built, spacious and well decorated. The kitchen and front porch are a bonus. Elisabeth if a wonderful cook, I would recommend paying her to cook a few of your meals, it is well worth it.

We have lodged at Mananitas early August and decided to go back for another three nights. The place is lovely, very cozy, quiet and really a place to go to if you want some rest, nature, good food and beautiful scenes of monkeys, birds and butterflies. Excellent price/quality and the place is at it is presented on the website. I would say the best choice in San Juan del Sur if you are looking for something different than all the others are offering!
