We, a family of 2 adults and 3 children with the age of 15.13 and 11 years stayed in San Juan the beginning of January 2012. We have rented for 1week Amistad 1 and 2. Amistad is a new house, has been well looked after, and has a superb view. Amistad 2 has also a roof terrace with a splendid view .
Both Amistad 1 and 2 have 2 bedrooms, a bathroom with hot water and a living area. The house lies with 4 other houses of owner Jan Luc in the middle of a neighboorhood where locals live as well, approximately 150m of the ocean. We liked it a lot, the area is living and there is always what to see. The houses are situated on a type of hill, with a large beautiful garden, which was very green and with flowers because of the rains in November/December . The oranges still hung to the trees. The housekeepers, Luz Marina and Fransisco were very nice, and have prepared for us a large barbecue. The houses are close to the village, therefore on walking distances there are all kinds of restaurants and bars. The beaches around San Juan are beautiful and mostly quiet. We have rented 3 surfboards and the children have surfed almost every minute of the day. Unfortunately, I have become too old for surfing. Next time we will book certainly Amistad again. We can recommend the houses of Jan luc at everyone.

We, a group of 7 with an 8 year old, booked online for 3 nights the first week of December. We rented Lobolira 1 & 2 which showed 2 single beds in both the second bed rooms. The cabins were reasonably clean (termits everywhere) with a good view and it is a 5 minute walk to the beach however it is not located in very good area of the city. As there is no air conditioning all the windows had to be opened to make it bearable to sleep, not only was it noisy all of us felt very unsafe and did not sleep well. The owner Jan-Luc does not live on site but does have a couple operating the cabanas. The layout of the interior on ViaNica is incorrect, both bedrooms have double beds which caused us some grief but because the area is so rough we did not wish to stay for 3 nights. To secure our reservation we had to send a deposit of half the total cost in US dollars. We spoke to the owner (Jan-Luc), explained the situation and checked out the next morning. No reimbursement was offered, so we chaulked the $150.00 night up to bad debt and moved on. I would not recommend these cabanas to anyone especially if you have a young children.

i stayed at cabanas lobolira on june june 25, 2011. the rustic cabin is beautifully decorated and equipped . the cabin had a kitchen with all the untensils , a living room and 2 bedrooms. the cabin is very clean and offers a walkaround deck to see the fantastic view of the pacific ocean. around the side of the cabin was steps that took you to the rooftop deck with even greater views of the pacific. it took me 5 minutes to walk to the ocean and the shops and resturants. i highly recommend this place for 1 night or a weeks stay.
