Yes, there are a few interesting spots to see in Nicaragua, but be aware that this is a crime-ridden country with no much security or police force, capable of deterring or confronting crime activity. My wife and I got robbed, very near the town and the Nicaraguan Police did not move a finger to assist us; apparently, they did not have fuel for the police vehicle parked outside the police station. Be careful, it is NOT what the government claims to be - not at all a safe place.
