The Small Cascade of Apoyo Lagoon
Description
The tour starts at the Mirador "The Boquete" in Diriá, where a local guide will talk about the origin of the Apoyo Lagoon, the type of flora and fauna living on it, the history and customs of the Pueblos Blancos.
Diriá is currently a town whit the greatest diversity of flora and fauna of the lagoon, where one of the great tribes were settled and left a legacy of pre-Columbian history in these lovely places. All the way from the path you will observe some of the petroglyphs that this tribe carved in basalt stones. At the end of the road, you will reach a little cascade of 2 meters falling on a rock of more than 90,000 years old, and about 40 meters up 2 large petroglyphs can be observed. At this point, it borns a river where you can listen as the water is hitting the rocks through the ground in winter.
Finally, you will descend by the same route to reach the public coast of Diriá, where you can take a refreshing swim in the crystal clear waters of Apoyo Lagoon.
Back to Mirador "The Boquete", you will enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner.

Cancellation Penalties:
Cancellations made with less than 8 days before the day of arrival or in case of no-use of the reserved service, 50% of the total ammount will be charged.
