La Corona community and the waterfalls at the Yasika river
Description
The community of La Corona is located 25 kilometers from Matagalpa. This place, which was several natural attractions, is where a rural tourism program and many environmental conservation projects.
During this trip, visitors are taken to a diversified farm called La Canavalia, which has is an expert in alternative farming techniques and product development. La Canavalia specializes in the production of chickens, goats, cows and pigs, as well as natural fertilizers, fish and compost.
The tour continues at Alfredo Rayo's farm, a cheerful producer that will show everyone his farm and will let them participate in the coffee growing process. After lunch, the participants will take a 2 hour walk through the secondary forest that ends in the communities of the Yasika River, which offers nice views and waterfalls such as El Salto Escondido and Santa Emilia, where one can take a good swim.
