Granada is the main colonial touristic city in Nicaragua. Founded in 1524 by the Captain of conquest, Francisco Hernández de Córdoba. Granada is a beautiful combination of colors, architecture, customs and tradition. A relaxing traditional carriage ride through the streets of the colonial city, one in boat around the islets of the lake, and the other one visitting its historic center, museums and churches that are part of the tour. Masaya in turn, is the cradle of Nicaraguan folklore and crafts. After an impressive visit to the Masaya Volcano, you can buy leather goods, wood, clay and fabrics produced by craftsmen’s working hands and offer their art to the whole world.
