Description

Our journey goes back to 1963, when Tica Bus started as a family business. We opened way to our routes throughout Central America and Panama, thus, innovating the ground transportation service in Central America.

In the process we consolidated our name and positioned our brand in the consumers mind. By 1975 Tica Bus had managed to take control over the international transportation of the region. We provided service from Panama to Guatemala and Honduras. Ever since, and with the continuous purchase of new units, investments in terminals and innovative services, we have remained leaders in the ground transportation market.

During the 70´s we traveled through safe routes and accomplished the consolidation of the company, in the 80´s, that due to political conflicts in Central America, we were forced to shut down a variety of destinations as well as minimize operations. It is at this point in time that our routes were limited to Costa - Panama - Costa Rica. After a crisis that lasted almost 8 years, we were finally able to reopen our routes throughout Central America and Panama.

At the beginning of the 90´s we started a new investment process that includeded brand new buses and better terminals. Up until today, we keep this strategy and believe in continuous improvement as the key to our success.
