Bill essentially straight, lower mandible reddish tipped dusky. Shining green above, becoming coppery-bronze on upper tail-coverts; tail rather bright blue-black; below mostly glittering green, crissum bronzy grayish edged white. Fairly common to common in deciduous woodland and borders and in shade trees around houses or in coffee plantations in lowlands and lowerhighlands on Pacifi slope in south-western Nicaragua.
