Habits and Behavior
A familiar carrion feeder in settled areas and around sea bird colonies. Ordinary flight consists of several flaps and a sail, unlike the Turkey Vulture, which mainly soars; the Black soars on flat wings (not in a dihedral). Whether the Black Vulture engages in migratory movements in uncertain.
