That's a red mangrove crab. They live in the mangroves and fee do the leaves as they fall from the mangroves. They assist in breaking down the mangrove leaves, etc for sub-creatures in the brackish waters of an estuary water eco system. The plover, (long beaked bird w long legs) is their prime predator.
