Description

Is the most famous of the rhinoceros beetles. They are usually black and nocturnal creatures, also with sexual dimorphism. Te female used to be smaller and they don't have any horn.

It is one of the largest beetles known, reaching 6.75 inches. The most important characteristic of this insect is the horn who only grow in the male specimen, this horn can grow longer than the body of the beetle itself.

The Hercules beetle is said to be the strongest creature on earth for its size, able to carry 850 times its own body weight.
