Description
Spider Monkeys have brown or black hair, and long and very flexible limbs (which is why they are called Spider Monkeys). They have a hairless face, thumbless hands, and a prehensile tail. They are active during the day and spend the night sleeping in the trees. They rarely come down to the ground.
Habitat
Spider Monkeys require large areas of undisturbed forest, which means their habitat has significantly decreased. In Nicaragua, they can be found in large reserves like the Indio Maíz Biological Reserve and the Bosawás Biosphere Reserve.
