    Corinto is a quiet town, with a pleasent beach. I like the view from the bay. It looks like Jurrasic park with the volcano in the background. I dont know about high quality hotels, but the people are pleasent.

    I be there for more than 40 times.
    later on, when I retired (pension) I go to there for the rest of my life.
    I will live with my wife and kids there, because my wife is from Corinto and 2 of my kids where born there.

Description

Its wide coastline is one of the main characteristics of this beach of calm and warm waters. Despite being a port area, the area has a great beauty, which is why is frequently visited during the Nicaraguan summer.

Nowadays, this is the place where the large cruise ships that are coming to Nicaragua usually moore. Surf, fishing, horseback rides and other sports can be undertaking here. In addition, the inhabitants of the area organize a gastronomical fair in which visitors can enjoy the best seafood in town.

Getting There

If you are traveling by private transportation, you should get to Chinandega first and then continue to Corinto by taking a turn (left) at the city's roundabout.

You can find public transportation to Corinto at Chinandega's municipal market.
