Great school. Wonderful teachers, and a great way to experience Nicaragua. Leon is a wonderful city, and a comfortable one for anyone visiting Nicaragua. I spent six weeks taking Spanish language classes and learning even more from my family stay. Enjoy! There is a fabulous beach only 19 kilometers away with a bus going from Leon every hour each day. There is a world class art museum and the Ruben Dario home and museum.....

Description

The 'Casa de Cultura' in León is a center for promotion and exhibition of art and culture, administered by the an assocation called the Asociación Cultural Leonesa 'Orlando Pastora Mendoza', affiliated to the national network of 'Casas de Cultura'.

At this place, you can enjoy a permanent selection of murals, paintings, and sculptures from national and international artists. There is also an exposition area where in-house or invited artists frequently exhibit their material.

There is a small library open to the public, offering journals and periodicals dating back to 1975. The center also offers Spanish classes, as well as dance, music, plastic arts, and other classes.

The entrance is free.

Getting There

It is very simple to get here. Either by walking a few minutes from the central park or taking a cab. If you are traveling on your on car, get to the San Francisco church first, and then head North. After 1 block, turn East and continue for about 20 meters until reaching the house.
