CANATUR holds the 2017 Güegüense Awards

Chamber of Tourism will reward excellence in different categories.
On March 2 the Nicaraguan Chamber of Tourism (CANATUR) will celebrate the eleventh Güegüense National Prize for Touristic Excellency in a gala ceremony.
In the Crowne Plaza Convention Center in Managua, CANATUR will be awarding prizes to outstanding companies in 2016-17 in these categories:
- Sustainability
- Tourist Innovation
- Tourist Promotion
- Social Responsibility
- Excellence in Business Management - the highest prize for members of the Tourist Chamber.
There will also be special prizes for the best National Tourism Guide, the Friend of CANATUR, and the Media.
The Güegüense Prize is an initiative supported by CANATUR to promote the national tourism sector and to encourage the highest standards of services. "The fact that this is now the eleventh annual prize ceremony shows the continued effort of the Chamber and tourist companies to make high standards the norm in Nicaragua" affirms Lucy Valenti, CANATUR President.
All the companies affiliated with CANATUR, the media and the general public will take part in the event. Tickets (US$40) can still be purchased in the CANATUR office in Managua.
