TEDxManagua 2017 "Reconocer"

Over 1200 people will attend the conferences about entrepreneurship and development in Managua.

TEDxManagua conference is celebrating its sixth edition in Nicaragua’s capital this year. It will be held in Centro de Convenciones Olof Palme, located in old downtown, this Saturday, October 14 since 2 PM.

This year event has as concept “Reconocer” (to tecognize), as it aim to promote to renew, to change, to improve, according to the official press release. “The world where we live has evolved. We must question our reality, our society, our attitude, and our general life”, said the document.

Among this year speakers are writer Alberto Sanchez Arguello, youtuber Yasser Morazan, actor David Rocha, educator Claudia Argüello, and Caribbean activist George Henriquez.

Tickets are US$20, and are available in AMPM stores, as well as on line. Around 800 high school students from Estyeli, Chinandega, managua and Rivas will also attend the event, elected by their academic performance, according to organizers.

TEDx conference begin around 40 years ago and have been independently replicated in several country. Managua’s edition have taken to the stage specialist in gender, politics, technology, psychology, among others.
