National Tourism Festival

The third edition of the National Tourism Festival will start today, Friday March 16, in Managua, and it will last two more days, until Sunday March 18. The event is held in the Galerías Santo Domingo shopping mall, and tourism-related businesses and organizations from all over the country will be present to offer information about their region to the general public.According to the company AC Eventos, the organizer of the fair, the event's goal is to provide the Nicaraguan people with information about the national tourism possibilities, in order to plan the vacations.
Not only do tourism-related companies, organizations, and institutions set up stands during the event, but national artists like Carlos Mejía Godoy are also included in the program. There will be a concert of this Nicaraguan singer on Saturday March 17, starting at 6PM. Folkloric dance presentations and a show by singer/songwriter Perrosompopo will also take place.
Over 120 exhibitors are expected to participate this year, and the organizers expect that the number of visitors will top last year's results, when 8,000 people visited the fair. The inauguration will take place today at 4 PM, and the next days the event will start at 10 AM. The Galerías Santo Domingo shopping mall is located at kilometer 7 of the highway to Masaya.
