Sixth "Joy of Life" Carnival

Tomorrow, on Saturday, March 24, the sixth edition of the "Joy for Life" (Alegría por la vida") carnival will be held in Managua. A parade with floats will travel a part of the Masaya Highway in Managua, animating the public with music and dances.

The carnival parade, featuring this year the slogan "Like a piece of heaven", will start at 5 PM at the Jean Paul Genie rotunda and end at the Metrocentro rotunda. The organizers have confirmed the participation of 35 different floats, in addition to other participants. This year, the number of spectators might exceed 200,000 people.

Another attraction will be the march of the Carnival Queen, Slilma Ulloa from Matagalpa, dressed in a fantasy outfit. The other finalists will also be there.

The same day, at 9 PM, there will be a party to end the carnival, which will be attended by the Nicaraguan musical groups Dimensión Costeña and Las Nenas, as well as the Cuban group Contratiempo. The party, which will have no entrance fee, will take place next to the Pellas building along the same Masaya Highway.
