The Nicaraguan singer and songwriter Mario Montenegro officially launched his most recent album "Canciones de Agua" yesterday, Wednesday, 14 November. The album contains 12 songs, which revolve around the themes of love for Nicaragua, nature, and women. The event took place in a restaurant in Managua. The main attraction of the night was a live concert, instrumentally accompanied by young artists such as Alejandro Mejía, Carlos Guillén Mejía and Harold Torrez. With his usual charisma, Montenegro played some of his new songs.
The veteran musician stands out in Nicaragua for his cheerful themes of music, dedicated to children. This new album represents a different facet of the composer. "This is a new phase for Mario, a romantic phase", said Waleska Rocha, of Moka Discos, the producer that helps Montenegro with the promotion of his new material.
"Canciones de Agua" will start being distributed throughout the country in the next couple of days. Even though the official price has not been determined yet, it will be somewhere between C$150 and C$200.
