Launch of Metropolis tv show

Metropolis, a new television program that will show the Nicaraguan public how one global social issue can be seen differently from a country to another, was presented yesterday December 10th in a launch event in which organizers announced that the transmission of the program will start on January 2009.Stef Biemans, a Dutch tv producer that is currently living in Nicaragua, explained that Metropolis started in Holland a year ago with the same system that consist on showing the local audience, with dynamism and a bit of humour, different ways of approaching a common issue like obesity, adolescence, traffic and other social matters in different parts of the world.
The Dutch version of Metropolis has authorized and supported the idea of showing the program to the Nicaraguan audience. This production will be headed by a national team of professionals, headed by Biemans and under Beeman Productions enterprise. Nicaragua will be the second country in which Metropolis will be shown.
