Free seminar on Contemporary Art at INCH

A limited space free seminar entitled "Theoretical Foundations to develop contemporary art projects" will be taught to artists, journalists, cultural managers, professors and university students by the investigator María Victoria Véliz Flores. The seminar will take place at the Nicaraguan Hispanic Institute of Culture from August 12 to 22.In the theoretical part, the seminar will address topics such as modern, post-modern and contemporary Art, recent experimentations, artists and their current works, Latin American productions, Central American networks and their relationship with mass media. The practical part of the seminar will focus on curating, how to present a project and the current dynamic of the contemporary in Nicaragua.
The instructor, María Victoria Véliz, is currently working in the Formation Area of the Spanish Cultural Center in Guatemala and has collaborated with Guatemalan entities such as Rafael Landívar University and Casa Comal, the Nicaraguan Espira and HIVOS Central America.
The seminar will be given at INCH (Las Colinas, Managua) on August 12, 13, 14, 15, 19, 20, 21 and 22, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm during weekdays and on Saturdays from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
