A new massive arrival of Paslama turtles is expected by tomorrow, Sunday 7, at La Flor beach, situated 18 kilometers from the municipality of San Juan del Sur, in the department of Rivas, according to Mario Rodríguez, territorial delegate of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources (MARENA), of Rivas.

"We had the arrival of aproximately 31, 750 turtles during October", explained the delegate, who also said that this quantity was inferior to the one MARENA was expecting. The institution had informed that near to 70 000 turtles were expected during that month, however, the weather conditions delayed the massive arrival.

It is expected that those turtles that didn´t arrive last month will do it during November, and continue so on December and January, end of the arrival season.
