The Northern city of Estelí will be the host of the first and only concert of Luis Enrique Mejía, internationally famous Nicaraguan singer known as "The Prince of Salsa", who will give a show on Saturday, November 13 in the Independencia Stadium of that city.

In addition to the concert, the author of "Ciclos" - album with which he won a Latin and an American Grammy - will visit Somoto (Madriz), his hometown, on the same date of his show. There, he will tour the sites that were significant for his childhood. After that, he will go along with his fans and sponsors to Estelí.

The tickets are currently available at Café Latino (coffee shop) in Managua (Guanacaste and Carretera a Masaya), Estelí and Matagalpa, as well as in Cigarzone at Galerías Santo Domingo. The cost is US$25 for VIP and US$13 for general area.

According to Matías Señorán, comunications and image manager of Movistar, phone company that is organizing the event, the concert is a way of promoting international quality shows in different departments of the country.

With this presentation, Mejia returns to Nicaragua after visiting other countries with his international tour. The first two shows were given in March 2010, in Managua. For this upcoming concert, the national band La Cuneta Son Machín will be in charge of the opening act. For further information, go to our Events Calendar.
