"Surreal" Event of Freelance Magazine

The launching date of the Freelance Magazine fifth edition has been changed. The event is programmed for Saturday April 28 at Ángeles y Demonios.

This Friday April 13 will be launched in Managua, the fifth edition of "Freelance Magazine", under the theme "Surreal". During the event, that will take place at the Bar and Restaurant Ángeles y Demonios, will be different artistic performances as well as an award ceremony of the contest of illustration against malnutrition, carried out by this movement.

Freelance Magazine is a non-profit movement, according to its members. It was born in the year 2009 as a space of convergence of artistic expression among young Nicaraguan people, but they also receive contributions from young people from North and Latin America. The group created the magazine which is ready for taking out its fifth edition.

The magazine is dedicated to artists that develop graphic design, illustration, photography, graffiti, painting, drawing, 3D design, literature and tattoo art. Each magazine comes with a different theme. The previous edition was based on colors, the third was on urban, and in this Fifth Edition there are plans to mix different artistic expressions the day of its release and is already named as "Surreal".

In the event will be presentations of six Nicaraguan bands, including: Ciclo, Cultura Folk, Sexto Circuito, Doble Circulación, The Royal Revolt y DJ Carbono, Kimchi, and Kira. In addition there will be a live graffiti show, preformed by three urban artists. Also, there will be poetry and literature, along with an exhibition of illustrations and audiovisual spaces. The event starts at 7:00 PM and entrance is completely free.
