Three days of buffet for lunch and dinner with Gallic dishes as part of the Francophone fortnight.

As part of the Francophone fortnight, celebrated in many countries around the world, Los Continentes Restaurant in Managua will offer appetizers, main courses and desserts of different regions of France to the public. This event was announced yesterday night, March 11 during a cocktail - conference with the participation of international guests. The Gastronomic Festival begins on March 13 and concludes on March 15.

The French culinary service will be included in lunches from noon to 3 PM and dinners from 7 PM to 11 PM at Los Continentes Restaurant, located inside the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

For the event announcement, the French Confectioner Marc Brétillot carried out a presentation called “Urbanisme patissier” (Pastry architectural design), in honor to the chef Marie-Antoine Careme (1784-1833), who, according to Brétillot, was an outstanding exponent of diplomacy through gastronomy. The confectioner is currently in a tour presentation in Central America.

Julien Bouchard, bussines representative of the French Embassy in Nicaragua, mentioned that in French the words language and speech are pronounced in the same way: “langue”. For this particular reason, the Gastronomic Festival became an interesting fusion of the French culinary and the Francophone celebrations.
