Representatives of 4 Latin American countries will perform different dances with high technical level.

On Thursday April 25, a professional dance show presented by companies from Colombia, Costa Rica, Nicaragua and El Salvador will take place at the Main Hall of Rubén Dario National Theater in Managua, during the International Festival of Dance Performances. This festival is organized by High Dance Company and the Nueva Juventud Company, world salsa champion.

The audience will enjoy dance performances of professional level and high technical skills. The show will include salsa (caleña, Cuban, classic), bachata, samba or the guaguancó, as well as Arabic dances, breakdance and other folkloric dances. All in one performance. Carlos Vallecillo, High Dance director, stated “It will be all kind of dances put together in one show with different techniques and international representations”.

Approximately, 70 artist of different companies such as Style Dance (Costa Rica), Hot Dance (El Salvador), Seven Company (Nicaragua), Quetzalnahuatl (Nicaragua) and the companies mentioned before will performing in one stage. The show will begin at 7 PM and tickets are available at C$200, C$150 y C$100.

This is the Festival's second edition which made the first appearance with a more discrete preesentation at the Dance Academy in Managua. Karen Montiel, co – director of High Dance, said “The main idea is to promote Nicaragua and its talent to an international level along with motivating our artists and creating bonds with other cultures”.

By this year they have achieved a major international exposure due to the support received by private and public organizations and the help of Rubén Darío National Theater. Thanks to technological communication and arranged meetings more groups were able to join, including international awarded dance company Nueva Juventud from Calí, Colombia.

Classes and small show

In addition to the main performance, the festival will offer a salsa caleña lessons given by the Nueva Juventud Company at Moods club in Managua on April 27 at 7 PM. Registration list has already been open and available at C$300 per couple at the club. Also, on the same there will be a small show with each couple of the participating dance companies at Luna Llena club in Catarina.
