Participants from 11 Latin American countries will be presented in 6 cities in Nicaragua
This February 11, 2014 staring 6 days of bolero with participants from 11 Latin American countries will tour around 6 cities of Nicaragua playing original pieces and interpretations of some of the classic of Bolero.
After the success of last year, the Second International Festival of Bolero will receive soloists and groups from Nicaragua, Guatemala, Mexico, El Salvador, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Cuba, Ecuador, Honduras and Costa Rica, to pay tribute to the Nicaraguan bolerista originary from Masaya, transit master Gutierrez.
"Last year we decided to internationalize the Festival and named it our first. This coming year we have incorporated more countries. We are planning to create the foundation of the International Bolero Festival in Nicaragua "said Ramon Rodriguez, director Ruben Dario National Theater and founder of Camerata Bach.
The festival starts in Masaya and continues around Leon, Granada, Managua, Juigalpa, Diriamba and Diriá with more than 4 artists per concert. On February 13 all artists will perform at the Rubén Dario National Theater.
At the end of the press conference the honoree played the piano to interpret his own bolero "From Away" along singer Adilia Mendez. Followed by other musician samples of what this great festival will be. Also present at the conference were ambassadors and government members representing the support provided by their institutions to the festival.
