Description

Ramsar Lodge is only 100 meters from the hot springs of La Piscina community. It offers lodging services to live a rural experience; tours to know the surroundings of the area and meals to keep knowing the Nicaraguan culture. From here you can appreciate the Cosigüina Volcano.

Ramsar Lodge is managed by the Tourist Services Cooperative (COOSETUR) along a guides network. All its members come from El Viejo and Cosigüina. Besides tourism, they work in projects that involve the preservation of fauna, like the Scarlet Macaw.

The tours offered by this initiative consist in visits to the Cosigüina Volcano and its wetlands and visits to the Fonseca Gulf or to the nearest hot springs. This tours are offered by Cosigüina Tour, also ruled by COOSETUR.

Rooms are offered as rustic cabins, equipped with fans, hammocks and chairs o rest during the day. The cabins can accommodate 1 to 4 people.

The main rancho, besides being equipped with hammocks, chairs and tables, offers all meals as well as a variety of dishes to choose. Beverages and coffee are also offered.
