Gerrit: We started and ended a kayak trip at Rio San Juan in La Esquina Del Lago. The place is great! Comfortable rooms, great food and you can watch all kinds of birds from the terraces where you will find yourself in the middle of nature. The owner and his staff show great hospitality. We rented some kayaks and made a trip of eight days to San Juan de Nicaragua, accompanied by a guide recommended by the hotel. We had a great time and enjoyed nature and the peaceful atmosphere, nice places like El Castillo, Sabalos and San Juan de Nicaragua, the birds of course (lapas, tucán, garza to name some) and a number of crocodiles. We had a great time!
