Reviews

Jason: We stayed here two nights in a private room ($30). There were towels on the bed; no need to rent. Breakfast was provided and was one of the best typical breakfasts I've had in Nicaragua. The cafe is one of the better options for extranjeros as well with a wide variety of veggie and classy meat options.

Joseph Wilkes: For thirty US$ per night why does one have to RENT a towel for a dollar?

Eduardo: This Hostel is really great. My travelmate and I got to Matagalpa super late at night and we were greeted with open arms and a cool group of travelers from all over the world. Roberto and Emily, the couple who run the place, were very accommodating and made sure we felt right at home in our bunks. The bar was a great place to relax after a long day of exploring the city and surrounding coffee farms. Two thumbs up.

A visitor: La Buena Onda has a fantastic set-up, with various rooms on two floors, common space to relax both indoor and on a hammock patio. The staff are all incredibly wonderful, bilingual, and friendly. Highly recommended.
