Lucía and Nico: We stayed in La Lira 2 for 4 months and had a wonderful time. The location of the property and the design of the cabins are perfect, we always felt isolated yet very close to everything like restaurants and stores.

The caretakers Fernando and Rebecca are extremely helpful and always found a way to solve everything for us. The owner Jan-Luc is very nice and flexible, he went out of his way to accommodate us and make us feel as home.

The gardens were our favorite part when waking up in the mornings and at night time, you feel like in your own little jungle! Just fantastic!

We were sad to leave Lobo Lira but we'll definetely come back!

Daan & Alinde : We stayed last summer at Lobolira and we really enjoyed our stay. The house was big and perfect for a relaxing holiday. The location was also perfect, close to town and to the beach.
We could ask for help if we needed and the people were very friendly. Overall, a perfect place if you want to stay in San Juan del Sur during your holidays or trip!

Ernesto Chamorro: No las recomiendo en lo minímo, reservas, envias el dinero y si a los dueños les conviene una contra oferta te regresan el dinero y te dejan en el aire con la reservación, muy informal esa gente.

Adam & Maria (Vancouver, Canada): We moved into "Amistad 2" for the period of March-June 2012 and it was exactly what we were looking for! Adam was working remotely for his company back in Vancouver, CAN and the house provided a relaxing setting and laid-back atmosphere. The beautiful hardwood deck and roof top terrace provided the kind of outdoor living we were searching for! During a trip to Masaya we even bought our own double hammock to set up on the deck so we could both enjoy lazing around together ;-) Though the roof terrace was too hot to hang out on during the day (note: we were there during the peak of Dry Season!), it was spectacular at night! You could have a view of the stars above or watch the sun set behind the mountains.

Jan-Luc would visit the property at least once/week and was always accommodating to any of our requests (ie. different chairs, incorporating more privacy, etc.). Luz Marina, Francisco & Antonio were always around the property if you needed anything.

Lobo Lira property is only a 10min walk into the "heart of SJdS" but only 5min from the waterfront/fishermen's point. You can buy local fish nearby (both advertise what's available on a sign outside) and we always found the neighbourhood families to be friendly. We had plenty of late nights walking/stumbling home and we never felt unsafe or were in any danger.

Luuk: We, a family of 2 adults and 3 children with the age of 15.13 and 11 years stayed in San Juan the beginning of January 2012. We have rented for 1week Amistad 1 and 2. Amistad is a new house, has been well looked after, and has a superb view. Amistad 2 has also a roof terrace with a splendid view .
Both Amistad 1 and 2 have 2 bedrooms, a bathroom with hot water and a living area. The house lies with 4 other houses of owner Jan Luc in the middle of a neighboorhood where locals live as well, approximately 150m of the ocean. We liked it a lot, the area is living and there is always what to see. The houses are situated on a type of hill, with a large beautiful garden, which was very green and with flowers because of the rains in November/December . The oranges still hung to the trees. The housekeepers, Luz Marina and Fransisco were very nice, and have prepared for us a large barbecue. The houses are close to the village, therefore on walking distances there are all kinds of restaurants and bars. The beaches around San Juan are beautiful and mostly quiet. We have rented 3 surfboards and the children have surfed almost every minute of the day. Unfortunately, I have become too old for surfing. Next time we will book certainly Amistad again. We can recommend the houses of Jan luc at everyone.
