La Estación Biológica is located about 50 meters from Laguna de Apoyo. Offers lodging and meals at the center of scientific research, which also works as an animal rescue center. It is an ideal place for those who are really interested in exploring the flora and fauna of the lagoon and the surrounding area.

Rooms are basic and rustic but comfortable. They can be for 1 or 2 people, with private or shared bathroom, fan, mosquito net to ward off mosquitoes and some furniture to place personal items. The room price includes breakfast and WiFi. There is also a dorm for 6 people.

Besides enjoying the Laguna de Apoyo, La Estación Biológica offers spanish courses, tours around the dry forest of the lagoon and bird watchin. You can also practice scuba diving or rent a kayak.
