El Rosario

This small, rural municipality lies on a flat territory, despite being situated in a mountainous plateau called "Meseta de Los Pueblos". Its urban center is the rural town of El Rosario. The religious festivities are held in January, a good time to see the traditional dance of "Las Indias".

Getting There

After passing the city of Jinotepe, while heading North in the Panamerican highway, you will find a secondary road that will take you to El Rosario. The municipality is located 51 kilometers away from Managua and there are no direct buses between both destinations. You must get to Jinotepe first, coming from the capitol city.
