El Jicaral

El Jicaral is a rural municipality. Its inhabitants live from agriculture and livestock (on a smaller scale). A colonial church and a nice park are part of the attractions of the urban center, which celebrates its religious festivities in honor of the 'Señora de Las Mercedes'.

Getting There

El Jicaral is locatd 164 kilometers away from the city of Managua. The road that communicates Leon with Telica, which also connects both of them with San Isidro (Matagalpa), crosses a great part of the territory and some of its villages. Here, one can find buses to Leon, Telica and San Isidro.
