Quezalguaque

The municipality of Quezalguaque, located 17 kilometers from the city of Leon, has a colonial urban organization. A central plaza, where the municipal government and and old church are located, is situated in the urban center. Its inhabitants are mainly dedicated to agriculture and celebrates religious festivities in honor of the 'Virgen de los Remedios', on February 18th.

Getting There

Quezalguaque is located 109 kilometers from Managua. To get here from this city, you have to take the 'Carretera Nueva a León'. After reaching Leon, continue on the highway to Chinandega and you will find a road on the right that will take you to this municipality.

In Quezalguaque you will find buses to Telica and Leon. There is also public transportation to some of the villages of this municipality.
