Buenos Aires

With 15 kilometers of shoreline, the municipality of Buenos Aires is located right next to Lake Cocibolca. Its elongated territory, which is mainly flat, has a lagoon, a natural reserve, many beaches and a small urban area with a colonial church. The religious festivities are held on March 17, 18 and 19, in honor of San Jose.

Getting There

Buenos Aires is located 144 kilometers Southwest of Managua. To get here, you have to take the Pan American Highway with direction to Rivas. After passing the entrances of Belen and Potosi, you will see a split just after 'Palos Negros'. Turn left and continue until seeing the entrance to the municipality, also located on the left. There are buses going to Rivas at the Roberto Huembes Market (Managua). Ask the driver to drop you off at the split after 'Palos Negros'. You will have to walk to the entrance of Buenos Aires.
