Pilas - El Hoyo volcanic complex trekking from Leon
Description
Tour through wilderness trails from El Hoyo, a volcanic complex formed for many structures located in Leon city. The first volcano name is El Picachu, after being active collapse forming several volcanic structures.
Actually, the most significant is El Hoyo volcano. This one can be distinguished because its crater is a perfect round circle and it is located in one of its slopes, instead of being on the top.
Departure in 4WD vehicle from Leon city to Reserva Natural Complejo Volcanico Pilas - El Hoyo at 7:30 AM. The beginning of the trekking will be from Cerro Negro volcano about 8:30 AM. Climbing the Pilas Volcano to get to the crater of El Hoyo volcano and then come back to Leon.
Arrival to Leon about 1:30 PM.
Trekking time: 4 hours.
Difficulty: Medium.
Minimum age of participants: 15 years old.
Recommended
Bring at least 4 litres of waters per person, sunscreen, mountain boots and a hat or cap.
Food? Contact El Perezoso agency if you would like them to get in charge of your lunch, for a US$5 per person fee.
Note: It is possible to camp on the top of the volcano. Contact El Perezoso to ask possibilities and prices.

Cancellation Without Penalty:
Cancellations made at leats 3 days prior to the tour date for the one-day tours, or 5 days for thr multiple-day tours, will not incur in any penalties.
Cancellation Penalties:
Cancellations made 2 days or less prior to the tour day for the one-day tours, and 4 day or less for the multiple-days tours, will be charged 50% of the total reservation amount. In case of no-use of the reserved service, 90% of the total reservation amount will be charged. These amounts will be additionals to the 10% reservation (no refundable) already payed to assure the booking.
