Kayaking Tour among Juan Venado Island mangroves
Description
We start this adventure from Las Peñitas community, where we will meet and you will take the kayaks (for one or two people) and the life jackets. The meeting point will be the same from where the tour will start and will finish the tour: from Hotel Barca de Oro 300 meters West, next to the Visitors Center.
From there you will kayaking into the beautiful river (channel) which separate mainland and the Juan Venado Island. After the first 100 meters you will kayaking among the mangrove forest, and will have the privilege of seeing several types of local and migratory birds, crabs, local people in their daily activities. You will paddle for around 4 kilometers and then get to a pier, from where we will walk and visit a community project in front of the beach, where you can buy and enjoy a cold beer, or a swimming in the Pacific Ocean. Then, you will return to your kayak, and paddle back to Las Peñitas among the forest.
This tour does not include the entrance to the reserve (C$100 foreigners, C$50 Nicaraguan or residents), nor a bilingual guide company, which could be arranged for an extra US$20.
Recommended:
- Bring water, sunscreen, insects repellent and swimming suit.

Cancellation Without Penalty:
Cancellations made before the beginning hour of the tour will not incur in any penalties.
Cancellation Penalties:
In case of no-use of the reserved service, 50% of the total reservation amount will be charged. These amounts will be additionals to the 10% reservation (no refundable) already payed to assure the booking.
